Discover a little-known corner of genuine history
The two historic buildings — the original log cabin dating from 1856 and a pioneer church from 1895 — are open for drop-in guests on a monthly basis in the summer and for special events throughout the year. Explore our program schedule by clicking on the calendar menu option at the top of this page. Please join us for a tour or event, or come volunteer!
The grounds are open dawn to dusk daily for respectful use, except when private events are being hosted. Take a walk or picnic on the lawn beneath majestic Northwest trees, and experience the quiet pace of life in the past.
We look forward to seeing you at the Baker Cabin and Pioneer Church.
Self-guided tour
Learn about the past at your own pace. Interpretive panels spread through the site provide helpful background about the building’s history, common daily pioneer chores, and artifacts unique to this site.
