Pioneer Trombones
The Pioneer Brass Trombone Quartet is presenting a concert of classical and popular music by Haydn, Sousa, Jobim, Piazzolla and others performed on an array of tenor, bass, and contrabass trombones, along with euphonium, cimbasso and tuba. The program will also include the official Rose Festival song from 1917, “Flower-Gowned, Forest-Bound, Rose-Crowned Portland.”
The musicians are David Bryan (Portland Opera Orchestra, Big Horn Brass), Andrew Harris (Big Horn Brass, Oregon Symphonic Band), Gayle Neuman (The Trail Band, Fireside Social Orchestra), and Phil Neuman (The Trail Band, Fireside Social Orchestra).
